Board of Directors

Emma’s Harvest Home is governed by a Board of Directors, which is composed of volunteers from the Mobile community. The Board of Directors play a pivotal role in overseeing the policies, procedures and operation of Emma’s Harvest Home. The Board guides the organization in accomplishing its mission and exercises influence in ensuring that the organization protects and uses its core assets solely to further the goals of the organization.
 










Accountability

Since its inception, Emma’s Harvest Home has maintained accountability, credibility and truthfulness to its mission, the community, supporters and funding sources. Our bookkeeping and audits are conducted by a certified public accountant following all applicable guidelines.

Our administrative and programmatic services are monitored by the Alabama Department of Mental Health-Mental Retardation, Substance Abuse Services Division (DMH-MR SASD). We have been certified by the Department since our beginning and are subject to random as well as scheduled site visits.

All staff meets the qualifications for the positions they hold and the educational needs of the staff are monitored. Continuing education is required in order to maintain professional integrity and quality of care.
